Meet The Team
Collin Roach, Owner/Operator, Founder - Born and raised in Minnesota, Collin grew up on a dairy, pork, and crop farm in southern Minnesota where he learned the value of hard work and dedication. He also had a knack for all things carpentry, especially shop classes in middle and high school with a variety of woodworking projects entered at the County Fair in the 4H program. “This Old House” and “Ask This Old House” was a regularly viewed program on the TV as well.
Collin learned by doing, working to maintain and update his childhood home as a teenager and young adult, and appreciates the satisfaction of a job done well, not just done. He also displays a Community minded spirit, founding the Oldham Community Center 501c3 nonprofit in 2024 alongside a Board of Directors to maintain and fund the Oldham Gymnasium as a community centered, community focused organization, while also serving on the Oldham City Council.
Collin started Redwood Homes and Remodeling with the desire to bring a different approach to the construction industry, taking pride in steady, calculated, conscientious, preemptive planning of your construction project before commencement. We accomplish this by building the project on paper before a single tool shows up on site. Less Surprises means less stress, therefore increasing the enjoyment of the process for everyone involved.
With 10 years of hands-on construction experience ranging from framing to finish as a laborer, carpenter, foreman, then Superintendent who, alongside a project manager, executed the logistics and quality control relevant to 5 million dollars of custom home contracts. Collin has experienced a wide variety of different types, sizes, scopes, and price points of projects since beginning in construction at the age of 20. When on-the-tools, you can expect to see Collin installing the Cabinetry and Trim Package. “I enjoy walking into a house with a blank slate and giving the home its personality, which is a direct reflection of the homeowner’s taste and style.”
Collin currently lives in Oldham SD and enjoys the small town environment and the trusting relationships he has built with his neighbors and the community.

Our Process
Building the House on paper….. What does that mean?
When we Build the House on Paper, we are designing your Home, selecting finishes and furnishings, and establishing a desired budget before soliciting bids and finalizing the contract.
When we Build the House on Paper, we are eliminating or significantly decreasing the financial surprises that typically come along with Building or Remodeling a Home.
When we Build the House on Paper, we are Preemptively, Conscientiously planning your Build, allowing you to truly understand where your money is going, before the check is written, ideally gaining your trust as your Builder.
Now, no plan ever goes perfectly, and neither does Construction. We offer you Honest Communication regarding your project, with the goal to maintain your trust. Weekly updates and regular Site Visits at every build phase is standard practice at Redwood Homes.
Larger Projects require a Preconstruction Agreement, including a Design and Estimating Deposit. The Deposit allows us to pay the Designers, Engineers, our Team, and other costs incurred while Building your Home on Paper.

Every Project is backed by our 1-Year Builders Warranty, with a comprehensive walk-through 10 months after hand-over, giving you added confidence after the job is complete.
